04/15/08 Lady Flashes burn Lady Iron Mikes 23-1

Money on the Mound, Emily "Money" Million was the starter in circle and got the win and Jay Vee pitcher Kaylin "Special Kay" Murisan finished up the game as the "Bat Babes" made it a short game scoring 23 runs in five innings for a 23-1 win. Coach Swas got a chance to get a look at some of his younger players as he brought up players from the Jay Vee team to play most of the game. With a very relaxed atmosphere prevailing, the Beautiful Battlin' Bat Babes were in a easy going fun filed mode and the varsity players enjoyed having most of the game off as they joked around with each other. Third baseman "Sweets" Sweeney took the catcher's position, "rightfielder Killah" Killian was on third, leftfielder "Smooth" Schreck played centerfield, pitcher "Oh-Kay" Garganio was back at first until Jay Vee first baseman "Silk" Adubato took over and utility player started in rightfield. Also seeing action from the Jay Vee squad were "Princess-Dee" Pernice and "Mau Mau" Hollern. Sharing the load at second base with "Jackie-Gee" Giambrone was "Go-Gurl" Blackwell.

05/19/08 "Bat Babes" repeat first meeting with 14-1 win

After two postponements due to rain, the "Battlin' Bat Babes" finally got around to ending the way overmatched Lady Iron Mikes' season. Following the pattern of their first meeting, Emily "Money" Million started in the circle for the Lady Flashes, and was overpowering both in the circle (allowing no runs and two hits in three innings) and at the plate (two doubles). Coach Chwas again moved his players around and gave his youger players time at different positions before pulling most of them out all togeter to give some members of the Jay-Vee squad some playing time. Originally scheduled for 05/09/08, the game had all ready been postponed twice and rain threatened to make it three but the skies cleared up and the sun came out long enough for the "Babes" to get the job done.

Rather than embarrass the competition unneccessairly, most of the regular players held back on their hitting and base running, Menissa "Go Gurl" Blackwell had the only other extra base hit (double) and Kaylin "Special Kay" Murisan came up from the Jay-Vee to pitch the last two innings giving up one runin the fifth inning. Also getting some quality playing time from the Jay Vee squad were "Shannon "Silk" Adubato, Amanda "Man-Dee" Reynolds Korie Potts, and Ashlyn "Fly Baby" Byrd
